I'm a big proponent of thinking positive, being positive, and speaking positively. That doesn't mean I consider myself to be a Mary Poppins, but I try to look on the bright side of things regardless of the situation. I try to find humor or a glimmer of hope. It's easy to get mired down with all the negative things happening in this world, to think that the world is an evil place, but there is still good to be seen like the recent article of the man who walks 21 miles to work showcasing dedication and determination. Or the cop giving out shoes to the homeless, the group that worked together to help a dog who'd accidentally been pepper-sprayed, and the people who constantly come together to support others in need whether it's with money, groceries, or transportation. This is why, when I have a bad day, am struggling with a health issue, or my heart is hurting, I will not post anything negative to social media. I want my friends and the people who follow me to see the good in the world, like the funny dances people do or the wonderful singers who audition for The Voice. I may slip up and post a quick gripe, but, for the most part, I keep it positive. I understand that some people reach out because they need to connect with others, and this post is not a criticism of those people. This is just how I see life, what I want to reflect on social media. There is a gospel song that reflects what I'm trying to say in this post. I'm including it here for those who'd like to hear it.
