We're kicking off 2017, and thus ends another year filled with happiness, troubles, and triumphs. While I'd love to say my year was filled with just sunshine and roses, I know not many of us can say that. But it's been a great year in spite of its issues. So here's a partial rundown! I finshed writing three books. I had an article accepted by The Writer. I had an article accepted by Women on Writing. I finaled in a contest sponsored by Women on Writing I started writing for Movie Pilot. I've written 132 posts for Movie Pilot with 785,000 views. I took a class on writing for television. I wrote a pilot script for television. I signed with an agent. I published a book. I taught a class for new authors interested in writing romance. I created book videos for several of my favorite authors. I redid my kitchen in 1950s style. I created three websites, one for an author, one for an illustrator, and one for an attorney. I got the rights back to several of my older novels. I got into crafting (painting clay pots and wooden signs). I reconnected with someone I love very much. My health had its ups and downs, but I'm able to sit here this evening and type this blog so I'm blessed. I could go on and on, but those are just some of the highlights. What are you some of yours?

Mary, Did You Know has been one of my all-time favorite Christmas songs for as long as I can remember. (O Holy Night runs a close second.) Pentatonix and Cee Lo Green both sing wonderful versions of Mary Did You Know. Check them out!
Which version do you like best?
Writing isn't a hobby for me. It's my dream. My goal. I can't imagine doing anything else, and while I could still write without readers, it wouldn't be half as much fun. Well, not really even a quarter. That's why, when I saw this post on bookmarket.com, I wanted to share it here. 51 Ways to Help a Book Author You Love. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate my readers. Your support means everything to me and to every author who sits behind a keyboard every night. |
