In South Carolina, we skipped right over spring this year, which isn't unusual, and have zipped into summer where it's hot and muggy. The mosquitoes are having a field day, and the air feels like a warm, wet blanket.
I've never been much of an outdoor person in the summer. One reason is because I burn so easily. I've never been able to tan, which my dermatologist says is a good thing. Another reason is because I cannot stand the heat. I prefer winter to summer, and I have no problem being outside in the winter, fall, or spring if we have one.
So, the obvious answer to this question would be, less than fifteen minutes. I was outside long enough to walk from my car to the grocery store and back and then I had to take the groceries inside, of course. So, all in all, definitely less than fifteen minutes.
I can stay out longer if I'm at the beach where it's cooler, or it's in the evening. In the heat of the day, though, I'm usually inside.
