It's that time of the year again, and I'm soooo ready! My tree is up, and if you look to the below right in the picture above, you'll see my cat's tail. She's really happy the tree is up!!!
My house is decorated (well, as much as I decorate), and the shopping is underway as is the wrapping. Alexa is keeping Christmas music blaring, and the eggnog is nice and cold. On top of that, it's getting chillier here so it's time to break out the boots, sweaters, and tunic tops! While I don't wish it could be Christmas year round, I do adore this time of the year. I can never wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate or start to shop even though I do love Thanksgiving, too. What about you? Is your house ready for Christmas? Are you?

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I'm sure I've said that here countless times, but it never gets old. I'm one of "those" people that whip out the decorations long before Thanksgiving, and I start Christmas shopping in October. The one thing I do wait for is the music. For some reason, it has to be closer to the actual day before I start listening to it. With Christmas now a little over two weeks away, I'm in the mood! My playlist is ready, although this is just a sample!
I have so many others on my playlist; however, the ones you won't find there are the ones that are more tailored for children like Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and Here Comes Santa Claus, etc. I don't focus so much on the Santa aspect of Christmas as I do what it means )except for Baby, It's Cold Outside.) I do admit I listen to that song during the winter months as well. I blame that on the musical comedy Neptune's Daughter with Ricardo Montalban. (Watch that movie if you haven't seen it already!)
So what's on your playlist? I won't lie. I get in the Christmas spirit early because it's my favorite holiday inside my favorite season. Give me winter and Christmas tunes, and I'm in heaven! While some people say it's too early to be talking about Christmas, I say it's never too early! I start shopping at the beginning of October, decorate my house on November 1st, and begin watching Christmas movies as soon as Hallmark starts showing them! Today, I went shopping for new decorations as some of mine have gotten a bit old. These aren't the best pictures, but I've never claimed to be a photographer! I think my favorite is the Jingle ladies towel! Are you ready for Christmas? I'm one gift away from finishing my shopping then I have to complete my wrapping. It's hard to believe another season is upon us! A couple of years ago, I wrote a letter to Santa here at my blog, and I thought now would be a good time to update that, but this time, I'm looking for miracles and the promise of hope! Dear Santa, We're around the corner from Christmas again, and I'd like to ask you for a few things you don't ordinarily put under the tree. This time, I'm not asking for just myself. I'm asking for all of us. Maybe it's because this is a magical time of the year, but I think it doesn't hurt to believe in miracles! I know you can't put these under the tree, but they'll still make a lot of us happy if you can bring these gifts!
Thank you for what you can do, Santa. I'm sure we'll all appreciate even one of these wishes on this list! This song will always be my favorite Christmas song, although Mary, Did You Know runs a close second. What's yours?
Mary, Did You Know has been one of my all-time favorite Christmas songs for as long as I can remember. (O Holy Night runs a close second.) Pentatonix and Cee Lo Green both sing wonderful versions of Mary Did You Know. Check them out!
Which version do you like best?
Dear Santa,
It's that time of the year again! I'm supposed to write out my Christmas list so you'll know just what to put under the tree for me on Christmas morning. Yes, I know I'm a little old for this, but there really isn't an age limit, is there? And since I've been good (mostly), I figured I'd give it a shot. So here goes. My Christmas List
